Hi everyone! ;) I'm Luis Fernando López Ortuño, a 17 years old guy who likes the DXing since 2010. :p
I DXed since 2010 when i got my first VHS VCR Samsung SVG-170UM in 2010 (now is dumped) and a rabbit ears antenna. :) The first time i DXed was when in my VCR i scanned the channels and the suprise is...

1.- XHXEM-TV Ch 6 - Azteca Trece (Toluca, Estado de México) [REPEATER OF AZTECA TRECE]
2.- XH???-TV Ch 8 - GalaTV (Jocotitlán, Estado de México) [TELEVISA ESTADO DE MÉXICO - INCLUDES LOCAL PROGRAMMING]
3.- XHGEM-TV Ch 12 - MexiquenseTV (Toluca, Estado de México) [RAW SIGNAL OF THE PUBLIC TV STATION]
4.- XHLUC-TV Ch 19 - Azteca Siete (Toluca, Estado de México) [TV AZTECA ESTADO DE MÉXICO - INCLUDES LOCAL PROGRAMMING]
5.- XH???-TV Ch 20 - Azteca Siete (Nicolás Romero, Estado de México) [ONLY A REPEATER - DON'T INCLUDES LOCAL PROGRAMMING]
6.- XH???-TV Ch 31 - Canal 5 (unknown location) [ONLY A REPEATER - DON'T INCLUDES LOCAL PROGRAMMING]
7.- XH???-TV Ch 45 - Azteca Siete (unknown location) [ONLY A REPEATER - DON'T INCLUDES LOCAL PROGRAMMING]
8.- XH???-TV Ch 54 Azteca Trece (unknown location) [ONLY A REPEATER - DON'T INCLUDES LOCAL PROGRAMMING]

But FM DXing somethimes i listen some stations because i don't have a FM/AM receiver... Well, my USB capture card is a KWorld UB-445U2 receives the FM signals but not AM.

I'm from Tultitlán de Mariano Escobedo, Estado de México. In december i travel to Cancún, Quintana Roo (to visit my brother who lives there) to catch TV and FM stations in the beach... I supose from Cuba... XD. I thinked a DX forum has no existed, when in Facebook i searched WTFDA TV and FM DXing group, and i'm here :)

Greetings from México ;)

Luis,

I myself have only been to Mexico twice---border cities Juarez (1974) & Matamoros (1996). I have seen a report where someone DXed AM radio from Cozumel, near Cancun, and heard 500-watt WKWF 1600 Key West. I am sure that DXn (AM, FM or TV) from Cancun must be great.

I have never heard Cancun FM or TV from Florida, but I have heard Merida from home, 97.7 & 98.5.

I have heard Cancun AM from Florida---580 & 740.
