How does the two horizontally stacked XG91s compare to using just a single? I'm considering adding a second one next to my existing, but I wonder if doing so would create any noticeable difference. From what I've heard, it's a couple extra decibels in signal, which on paper, doesn't seem like a lot, but you guys obviously seem to know what you're doing. My antenna is at 30' above ground, and I can't get much higher unless I get a tower.

The IL DX site 91XG stack is 36' above ground. Usually 30' is enough to get DX but uneven terrain can change that. It is best to use the highest gain and most directional antenna regardless of your height.

Thanks, Ed. I have the information about your repair job on hand that you posted on the Forums a few years ago. That will
    be extremely useful.

More good tropo into the IL DX site early and then late this morning. The best distance was 441 miles with three DTVs from Omaha, NE for a very brief minute, and then they were gone. Also in were stations from Kansas City around 380 miles, Des Moines at 322 miles and two from Mason City, IA at 326 miles, with KYIN 18/24, a new log. Log total since July 20 is 303.

    Steve...

I've tried to get in touch with my old "friend" Lefty so he can "help" you with everything you're doing "wrong."...

For those of you who don't remember Lefty... He's 52 years old, and, up until a year ago, lived in his parent's basement. He smokes dope all day, DXs with a pair of rabbit-ears on the basement floor, and says, "If I can't see it you can't see it," and, "The Government should take your DX equipment away from you and give it to me." (He's the 'poster boy' for Liberalism) Lefty's incoherent e-mail rants took exception to everything I'd ever logged. He's gonna freak out if he sees what Mike & Steve have done.

...Recent info indicates he's moved to Denver to continue his work in the cannabis industry. He was last seen, in the suburbs of Denver, sitting at a stop sign, waiting for it to turn green.
