I had an unID on channel 7 in Spanish during an intense Es event to Texas & Louisiana a few years back. Nowhere near enough to go on but based on where the low-band & FM skip were & the language of the programming I strongly suspect XHAB.

    Have never heard NWS Es.

I do have a 144MHz two-way Es QSO in the log. K5AM in central New Mexico, worked on SSB in the ARRL June contest two years ago.

My Feb 7, 1977 KSFY-13 Sioux Falls, SD http://www.qsl.net/wa5iyx/aud-fil4.htm Wish I'd had the 35-mm camera back then that evening.

That is outstanding DX, Pat. Nobody knows more about propagation than you do, so you appreciate this unusual DX.

It was a wild night - KABY Ch 9 Aberdeen, SD NBC zero-beat our KLRN, Ch 11s Sioux Falls and Minneapolis, and Ch 7 Alexandria, MN. KSFY was the only audio I taped. Trying to go back to the 88-108 MHz band after that seemed dull!

And that was in...FEBRUARY?!!???!! Yajusneverno when it will happen.

One opening years ago with CIPA-9 ID'ed (and video up to channel 11 - CBC hockey with multiple possibilities - some CCI on 12).

A year and two days ago was able to pinpoint XHBR-11 and XERV-9 via networking and Offsets, this one produced some video up to 13.

That's ALL I've ever seen - other than a 1986 opening when I had certain ES cci (unfamiliar "bars" against WQAD) on Channel 8 during a Florida opening. all two-and-a-half of these high band openings were during what is conventionally considered "summer Es season."

JEFF KADET has the exact same loggings on high band (and only these) as well, but he's seen more high band ES than I have, because he once had somebody killing KHQA/7 (suspected KVII) which I missed.

The only other two high-VHF Es events where I made idents were Ch 7 Wheeling WV (Jun 1975) and Ch 7 Charleston SC (Jun 1987). The later years with locals KFLZ-LP-7, KLRN-DT-8, KLRN-9, KBNB-LP-10, KMHZ-LP-11, and KSAT-12 sort of clobbered the band for any of that

Early 1990s...WWOR 9 NYC. Had tentative WPIX 11 NYC but never made positive ID.

Some UN-IDed Mexicans up to channel 11 last Summer.

I keep looking for VHF-high DTV Es but locals / semi-locals are gonna make it difficult.
