Major tropo opening developing in gulf south

    MAJOR TROPO OPENING DEVELOPING

Gulf Coast and SE US DXers ALERT!!!

Just snagged 106.9 - XHQT in Veracruz, Mexico from Mandeville, LA at a distance of 860 miles. The enormous tropo conditions forecasted on Bill Hepburn's Tropo forecast site are starting to already verify and this isn't even supposed to be the main event.

My SDR waterfall is FULL right now of signals and everywhere I look are SS stations. Running a full band recording now, but will be posting catches to FMlist as they come in.
860 miles is my new tropo distance record from Mandeville.

This is going to be an amazing weekend!

XHPR/Veracruz Puerto is not in Piedras Negras.
