  • unID 2, Panama & Colombia came in---any guesses?

It's not often I am stumped by a logo bug, but I have no clue what I saw this morning. I believe it's the end of the movie "Anastasia" as that name was mentioned. I think they went right into the next program (not even at top or bottom of the hour) without a break.

    You know...

Last month Caracol premiered some new graphics. The graphic midway through this video shows that they've flattened their sphere-and-swoosh logo but put it in negative on white.

That new logo looks a lot like what you saw. It honestly looks like the letter S.

And then I went to look at their programación online...

This is definitely the new-look Caracol.

Christopher, good job with the program details.

Raymie, is Caracol now an all-movie channel?

Sure looks like a match! Nice job Chris. And good research Raymie. Sure would be nice if we could land something like that Danny.

Thanks guys, and thanks Raymie for digging. I cannot view the CARACOL TV site here, so it is appreciated!

To me, it looks like 2 lower-case letters, like "dp" or something. However, CARACOL is a likely culprit when these others come in.

Maybe the Caracol's schedule grid today is different to other days because Colombia is celebrating "Asunción de la Virgen" day (although it was at August 15th, officially the public holiday is the nearest next Monday).

I was wondering why Caracol's schedule had so many movies for a Monday...

In the mixed system era in Colombia, holidays were programmed by a different set of companies and often had a lot of movies. Also the weekend newscasts would air instead of the normal weekday ones.

                You're right about that, Mike.

I keep being the devil's advocate in this 2-hop situation in Louisiana and Texas, but I'm still hopeful that we will have 2-hop
                when the Mexicans go off.
