  • UNID 105.1 Spanish Christian (TX)

I have an UNID I could use a little help with here from Spanish speakers. This is 105.1 that was broadcasting with abysmal audio quality, dead air between songs, and what sounds like Christian content and Christian-based lyrics. The initial song is by Marcos Witt, absolutely a well-known Spanish Christian artist. Es endpoints were in W. TX, NM, KS, CO, OK (in the area where they all come together). I listened for quite a while without any real luck. The audio is very mono-sounding like what one would hear from a pirate station. But then it goes into a lot of Spanish talk and that's where the quality isn't good enough for me to make out what is said and needs a native speaker.

The only station that seems to match the content is KMAT. The WTFDA database shows it is //KHCB-AM, but their website and Facebook (with an extensive listing of their stations) disagree. No other stations all afternoon were heard in the area of KMAT.

Can anyone pull out any clues or perhaps have any familiarity in what is heard here? (Heard on the afternoon of June 27th).

There's a lot of preaching but nothing identifiable.

The Reference Section features the HD Radio map, list of Article 90 reserved band clears, and more.

Thanks Raymie. I'm okay with that. I'm just happy I know that I tried to ID it, even if it was a failure!!
