It's been a slow couple of days on the DTV front so I've had to resort to looking for analogs.
Pickings are getting slim, however, I did find a couple of new ones...

    #1105 K15FW 15z Batesville, AR. 193 mi. TBN

Don't know if you have caught it, but here in Springfield, Missouri we have an LP still on analog, they have a "screen bug" I guess you could call it, if you push the definition to its limits--it is the information about the station KRFT-LP Springfield, Missouri, etc. It is on Channel 8. Just thinking if you can get Jonesboro and Batesville, you might be able to snag this one if you have not caught it yet.

      Thanks for the heads up.

I don't see it on my checklist so I'll take a look when propagation allows.

Just looked them up on the FCC page....

Looks like KRFT-LP is only running 212 watts. Might be a tough one to DX.

Also see they've filed to go DTV on ch 21.

Hmmm...Springfield already has a 21, which is the PBS affiliate, multiplexed on 21.1, 21.2 and 21.3. Wondering what is going on here. Edited to add: KOZK broadcasts on channel 23.1, 23.2, and 23.3 but shows up on 21.1-21.3. Looks like KRFT-LP will be on 21 but may broadcast still on 8. SO confused about how DTV works, as if you could not tell!

Yes, the whole DTV channel thing can get confusing.

When you see me post a DTV station it'll look something like this...

WPSD 32/6 Paducah, KY. 38 mi. NBC

The "32/6" indicates that the RF channel (the channel it is actually transmitting on) is channel 32 and the virtual channel (the channel number everyone was used to seeing when it was analog) is channel 6.

If you think about it, TV stations invested a lot of "brand recognition" in their old analog channel number..."News Channel 6," "Local 6," etc. The virtual channel number just kept things simpler for the general viewing public. I'd be willing to bet, some people in the WPSD viewing area will go the rest of their lives never knowing that they're actually watching channel 32.
