    1973 Eavesdropper

I have been without AC power for six days recently due to freezing snow and high winds. I increased my reading during this time. Because of that I came across a copy of the Fall-Winter 1973 issue of Communications World. It was probably saved due to it containing the White’s Radio Log. Due to some WTFDA references in it I thought that I’d provide copies of some pages. First, the front cover.

I’m not sure if that was a picture of a typical DXer.

Some information on DX clubs was provided. CW below is referring to Communications World.

Below are some of the 1973 TV and FM stations listed. With a lot of DXers in and around Illinois and Indiana I decided to include at least those two states. The first column shows TV stations while the other three are for FM transmitters.

It looks like I marked the Iowa and Kansas TV stations that I received then.
Finally, I had to include a couple of the product feature items. My favorite was the Eavesdropper.

If you were excited about purchasing an Eavesdropper, you are in luck! One is available on eBay. See:

There are some nice pictures of the radio and its box there. Remember, the early bird gets the Eavesdropper.
