TEF6686 Blue Chinese Receiver firmware update

I took a few photos while upgrading my TEF6686 radio (blue Chinese stereo version) from firmware 1.18 to version 2.0 If anyone uses these receivers, 2.0 adds a lot of new functionality.

"So, you can either have actual PI codes with incorrect pty codes or you can have correct pty codes and translated callsigns, not actual PIs. I wish they would use actual PIs for the US region."
      ----------

This is what I confirmed with the developers: in US mode they set the PI field to display callsign. The problem with that is many US stations (hello iheart...) transmit PI that does not comply with the PI algorithm therefore this receiver displays incorrect callsign. Here is South Florida i get several local signals that display West Coast callsigns. The algorithm in the receiver code is correct, the PI transmitted is non compliant with the algorithm.

Anyways, I mostly use my receiver in European mode which means the categories (format) displayed is incorrect which does not bother me. Keep in mind everything 2.0 is still beta therefore many glitches. My receiver seems to be stuck at 99% battery state.

So with the October 23 changes, for the US region, the PI codes appear along with the decoded callsigns and the correct Pty info. Everything is correct. It's super fast. I don't think I'll need to flash it again.
