What happened to the WTFDA FM Database?

It's now April 7, 2024. The WTFDA FM Database has been off-line for several days. I'm not currently subscribed to the WTFDA email list, so I may have missed an announcement. Anyone know what's going on?

This is a tremendous resource for the FM DX community. Lots of gratitude and love for all those who work so hard to maintain it.

Our website host decided to no longer support a certain process that we need to make the database available on the website. This happened without much advance notice.
We will be moving the site to another server, hopefully in the next week or so. Processes have been updated from scratch and much of the code has been rewritten. The database will be back. db.wtfda.org will be back. But it won't be on our current host.

I bet that our webhost has quite a few customers mad at it right now.

Update as of April 16th, we have the database up and running on a temporary server here. I would suggest you bookmark this url. We may try to keep it on our current web host but there is a possibility we may not. It depends on a few things.

If we need help on a financial level... Let me know. I use that database religiously and have no problem supporting the cause.

Thanks for all of your time and effort on this, Mike!

I used your data to add some HAAT's to some of my January Mexican receptions. Like for XHJD Monterrey, NL. Due to the surrounding mountains and roof top antenna, it has a HAAT of -51M. It transmitted a PI code of 9890.

KGCO-LP is still transmitting on 108.0 MHz rather than its licensed 107.9. Besides the FCC, the FAA might not be too happy with that frequency. It also needs to change its clock so that it announces CDT times rather than CST.

I second this on all fronts. First of all thanks to Mike and others for their tireless dedication that benefits the entire hobby. I'm also happy to contribute financially if that will help.

I appreciate the kind words but right now we don't need money, in fact it would be nice if we spent some of it. That's one reason we don't ask for yearly renewal dues anymore.

                Mike,

The link here isn't working on Opera or Edge.

Jerry Hart published this link on Slack #FMDX, but no joy with it either. I either get nothing or tons of warnings about "suspicious site," "malware, etc." I've overrode those warnings to ask it to visit anyway, but no joy.

The old pendulus.org server is no longer. The db has been moved back to our host, Dreamhost.

That URL works perfectly. Thanks again, Mike.
