    UNID Ms 94.7

    Recording overnight now, listening for long burns from the Leonids meteor shower. Caught this one overnight on November 16, 2022 on 94.7.

    I hear the following:

    "The Council approved a $399,000 dollar bid from Maywell Construction earlier this week. Now you're up to date with the Hot News Center." Followed by a commercial for Gain detergent-"Gain presents"-fighting it out with another station, "the town of Longview", then "long-lasting scent."

    Hoping someone may recognize the branding for "Hot News Center", or the news about a town council approving a $399,000 bid from Maywell Construction. Google searches haven't turned anything up yet. I may be hearing the names wrong.

    Any help gratefully appreciated.

    I'm not convinced it's Maywell. I've tried Mainwell, Madewell ... but drawing blanks.

      There's a Madewell Construction in Lubbock TX. I hear Madewell.

        Bill Nollman and Eric both solved this one. As others here pointed out the name of the construction company is "Madewell Construction." Bill quickly matched that with a news item yesterday where the City Council in Cookeville, TN approved a $399,000 expenditure. Plus I was beaming NNE, right towards Cookeville. WSGQ 94.7 is a frequent visitor here on tropo, but this is my first Ms logging of the station, and one of my shortest Ms catches at 218 miles.
