July 24, 2021 KWN60 Lamar, CO into Kingsport, TN

This is my most recent confirmed NOAA weather radio reception by Es. It was July 24, 2021 and I believe this particular opening was the last big one of that year.

The transmitter is about 1106 miles from here. I was using a basic Uniden handheld scanner.

WOW. Have you ever worked 25-55 MHz low band?

Halmonsta, not too much. I’ve gotten SNOTEL a few times. Sometimes I’ll flip through the CB freq’s. Wish lo band wasn’t as vacant as it is now. I hope to maybe catch CA Hwy Patrol one day. I think they’re still on in the 40 range. Hope for F2 one day too.

SNOTEL and the BNSF HyRail Compliance System are pretty popular for some low band DX fans.

I have very little knowledge about BNSF but here's what I dug up about SNOTEL.
