Comments : The majority of these are new. This is a testament to how well the Goozeezoo branded TEF 6866 Radio performed. There is no way I would have received all these stations with just the Icom 705.
This is the strongest and most productive tropo opening I've had in a very long, long time. Even still, I don't have a directional FM antenna. I feel that if I did, I could have gotten easily into Arkansas or further.
This opening might go down in the record books, no not just for me but for many!. I saw the Facebook Hamsters page and someone said that they talked to Ontario on 144.200 SSB from Louisiana. Saturday morning August 19 someone posted a VHF propagation map at 5:30 AM Central that showed a huge orange blotch covering the Midwest.
I'm still scratching my head on how the heck I got London Ontario during this opening. I guess it was just a fluke and nothing more.
