Brazilian EFM band DX in Portugal

    Hi

Received 77.9MHz Radio Cultura Sao Paulo in Portugal last night via evening TEP.
It's carrying Radio Justiça,talking about employment law! All Brazilian stations have to carry a segment of Justiça from what I've read.
Had a weak ID off Cultura before and there are very few efm stations, unfortunately no ID in this clip.

At times there's weak FM mush on 79.5 MHz, I've included a link to local Sao Paulo reception in the video description.

The peak is very rapid from about 22.20 to 22.40 gmt.

Hi Hugh. Nice reception of 77.9. I wonder if US will ever do extended FM band. If they do, they will be sure to screw it up badly, for sure.
Has all Brazilian TV switched to digital now? You had some great analog TV from that part of the world. Take care.

      Hi Mike, thanks.
I think a few Brazilian ransmitters are still on, certainly a lot of other S American countries are still using analogue. TEP video still around but a real messy pileup. I use carriers on A5 positive, 77.26 MHz as a guide if the MUF is high enough for EFM.
I think it's slow to catch on but believe all new vehicle radios have to include EFM coverage there.

Caught another one last night on 79.5MHz,religous content, unfortunately no ID but 77.9 Cultura was also coming in so fairly certain it's Radio Sao Paulo.
Reception lasted about 30 minutes, comes up fast and slowly fades away.
