I recently logged KOAX 107.9 Shelley ID on meteor scatter. The RDS logging site claims the tx site is in Utah, but the FCC site says in Idaho, near Shelley. Any idea which is correct? Also the FCC site says 29 KW, the RDS site at 100 KW. There is no mention on the FCC site that there is any CP to boost power or move the site. Thanks.

I looked on Radio Locator, and it shows the transmitter site is close to Shelley, not in Utah. Radio Locator shows the power is 32 KW, so this is different from RDS or FCC. The callsign is showing as KAOX instead of KOAX - although I personally like KOAX. -
It looks like that info is wrong and the station is in Idaho. I am especially pleased with this. Living on the Northern Oregon Coast, I have never logged Idaho on FM/TV from here. Hard for Trops considering the distance over mountains and too close for E Skip. Thanks for the info.Comment
