** OKLAHOMA. 101.5, Sept 29 circa 2030 UT, still dead air in $tereo
into caradio from KOCD Okeene. Along a busy rush-hour artery street,
also found dead air on 87.9 and 93.1, the latter at least also in
$tereo; obviously unfed hungry RF feeders in vehicles (Glenn Hauser,
    Enid, WOR)

    ** OKLAHOMA. 101.5, Oct 11 circa 2010 UT on caradio, still $tereo
deadair in Spanish from KOCD Okeene. Radio Salvación forgot to turn it
off in January. Still paying the fluid bill? (Glenn Hauser, Enid,
    WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 101.5, Oct 16 at 1955 UT, NO open carrier signal, no $
icon, so KOCD Okeene is finally turned off - but who knows whether
permanently this time (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 95.7, Oct 20 at 1850 UT, KXLS Lahoma/Enid is OFF! Instead
on caradio, weak gospel huxter; at 1853 overridden by KKAJ ID, like a
meteor burst; or airplane scatter, in & out. 2000 local still off and
Bott Radio Network singing ID; by 2007 I find it running about 1
second behind 800 KQCV. This all correlates with WTFDA DB:
K239BT KQCV-800 95.7 THE VILLAGE OK RELIGIOUS TEACHING BOTT RADIO
    NETWORK 0.25 0.25 211.0 0.0 35-33-26 97-28-31 D2ED
    KXLS 95.7 LAHOMA OK ADULT CONTEMPORARY MY 95.7 14.0 14.0 137.0 137.0
    36-32-13 98-00-39 4DEC Adult Hits
    KKAJ-FM 95.7 DAVIS OK COUNTRY TEXOMA COUNTRY 50.0 50.0 140.0 140.0
    34-23-50 96-55-17 2A71 KKAJ Texoma Country 95.7 Country

The Village is a NW OKC suburb, where I dwelt 1954-1961y; unnecessary
translator. I`d think KXLS might QRM it. Davis is way south in OK, 221
km = 137 miles from Enid.

ALSO OFF, sibling station of KXLS, at exactly same transmitter site:
    KNID 107.1 NORTH ENID OK COUNTRY 107.1 KNID 14.0 14.0 137.0 137.0
    36-32-13 98-00-39 3327 KNID Country Title & Artist
But two other siblings on 97.7 & 106.3, at separate sites, are not
off. Nothing else heard on 107.1 but I see Bott has another overkill
OKC translator there, El Reno. Something unID on 107.3; several
possibilities around OK and KS. Both 95.7 and 107.1 are back on by
next check circa 2200 UT (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** U S A. After DTV tropo DX from The Metroplex, as in last report, I
switch to FM DX into the garaged caradio, 2004 Nissan stock, no RDS,
fender vertical antenna only, Nov 7 from 1825, including some non-DX
notes about calls and slogans; with listings from WTFDA FMDB; numbers
before lat. and long. are kW ERP, same H&V u.o.s. in one case; and
meters height above average terrain. Distances approx., city-to-city
from-to, not site-to-sites, added to end of each item in km/stmi; all
      times strictly UT:

90.9 at 1825, gospel rock not // 91.1 in talk, but soon Air One ID on
90.9 and later back to // 91.1 KKRD Enid. So 90.9 is still KOKF OKC,
      not DX

      94.9 at 1827, $tereo talk about A.A.; 1831 show is `New Life Live`,
1-800-NEWLIFE. That must be a program, not a station. No ID until:
1900, ``KJLT 94.9 North Platte`` and long string of translators by
      alternating voices, then gospel rock:

37-57-28 99-25-45 - where is Rozel? Due S of Hays, WSW of Great Bend,

      own! 241/150

105.9 at 1833, Mexmx. Aside from a 74-watt translator in The Dominion
TX, there are two possibilities, in TX and KS:
KUZN 105.9 CENTERVILLE TX Spanish CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN RADIO ALELUYA

Centerville is on I45, closer to Huntsville than Corsicana. Ingalls is
midway between Dodge City & Garden City, much closer and brief hearing
sounded more like Regional than Christian, so: KSSA 279/173

      93.9 at 1841, Mexmx loud & clear unlike 93.7; at 1903, ``Show de
      Andrés Gutiérrez; tema: dinero``, call-in, 805-YANOMAS, and a whatsapp
starting with 210, area code? Likely national show. (805) AC =
California: SLO, Ventura, Sta Bárbara counties; (210) if an AC would
be San Antonio TX. Only fit in quadri-state area:

Sutherland is just west of NP on I-80. Whence strange name Flat Rock?
A geographical feature? Wikipedia says it`s nickname for NP, used by
several businesses. Another one is Little Chicago. This and 94.9 above
are my max DX in this opening: 583/362

      97.9 at 1849, ```B-98, music of the 80s, 90s and today`` [what about

Note: you get no hits by slogan, searching B98 or B-98 - it has to be
B space 98: B 98. And guess what, there is another B 98 in Oklahoma
but twice as far from me as Wichita fringe, usually edged out by
closer 97.7 and 98.1 stations. That could be confusing for Es DX! So

DX still incoming but time to suspend for lunch. APRS map at 1930 does
not include Nebraska, beyond southern KS, and into north TX. Then car
required for its original purpose. This hour of FMDXing led to at
least 3 hours of research and compilation. Each DX log a potential
learning experience (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)
